चेन्नई : भारत का दमदार संचार सैटलाइट जीसैट-6ए श्रीहरिकोटा के अंतरिक्ष प्रक्षेपण केंद्र से गुरुवार को उड़ान भरेगा। यह भारतीय अंतरिक्ष अनुसंधान संगठन (इसरो) और भारतीय सेनाओं को सशक्त बनाने की दिशा में एक और मील का पत्थर साबित होगा।
इसरो के सूत्रों के अनुसार इस सैटलाइट प्रक्षेपण के जरिए इसरो कुछ महत्वपूर्ण प्रणालियों का परीक्षण करेगा, जिसे चंद्रयान-2 के साथ भेजा जा सकता है। साथ ही यह उपग्रह भारतीय सेनाओं के लिए संचार सेवाओं को और मजबूत और सुविधाजनक बनाएगा।
बताया जा रहा है कि इस सैटलाइट के जरिए हाई थर्स्ट विकास इंजन सहित कई सिस्टम को प्रमाणित किया जाएगा, जिसे चंद्रयान-2 के लॉन्चिंग के लिए इस्तेमाल किया जा सकता है। बता दें कि चंद्रयान 2 की लॉन्चिंग इस साल अक्टूबर तक की जा सकती है।
2140 किलो वजनी जीसैट-6ए संचार सैटलाइट को ले जाने वाले जीएसलवी एमके-द्वितीय (जीएसएलवी – एफ08) के करीब शाम पांच बजे श्रीहरिकोटा के सतीश धवन स्पेस सेंटर से दूसरे लॉन्च पैड से उड़ान भरने की संभावना है। यह इस प्रक्षेपण यान की 12वीं उड़ान होगी। इसरो के अनुसार, जीसैट-6ए सैटलाइट रक्षा उद्देश्यों के लिए सेवाएं उपलब्ध कराएगा।
सैटलाइट में 6 मीटर चौड़ा ऐंटेना होगा, जो सैटलाइट में लगने वाले सामान्य ऐंटेना से तीन गुना चौड़ा है। यह हैंड हेल्ड ग्राउंड टर्मिनल के जरिए किसी भी जगह से मोबाइल कम्यूनिकेशन को आसान बनाएगा। अभी तक जीसैट-6 कम्यूनिकेशन सर्विस प्रदान करता आया है।
इससे पहले मिशन की उल्टी गिनती मिशन तैयारी समीक्षा समिति और प्रक्षेपण अधिकार बोर्ड से मंजूरी के बाद बुधवार को दिन में एक बजकर 56 मिनट पर शुरू हो गई थी।
